International Flavours Come To Georgetown!
Some very tasty events are headed for Georgetown!
Head for the Hills Craft Beer Festival
September 17, 2016 – 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Head for the Hills is a day of craft beer sampling in the beautiful countryside. With breweries, food trucks, and live music, this festival is one to remember! Admission includes a customized Head for the Hills beer stein and 4 tokens for 4 (4oz each) samplers of beer. Additional tokens for samples are available on-site for $1 each. The Festival will take place at the Trafalgar Sports Park (kitty corner to North Halton Golf Club). 100% of the proceeds go to local charities supported by Georgetown’s four service clubs (Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis and Kinsmen). This year’s main feature charity is Food4Kids North Halton, a group that provides food for at-risk children. Tickets are $22 in advance and $30 on the day of the event.
Taste of Historic Downtown Georgetown
September 24, 2016 – 12:30 to 3:30 pm
A Taste of Downtown Georgetown features the restaurants and food venues in Downtown – and you are invited! Sample Irish, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Gourmet, Confectioneries and more! You can sample 5 food venues with your purchase of a passport. Hurry though! Only a limited number of passports are available for purchase. Passports are available for purchase at $25 each, through participating businesses or by calling the Downtown Georgetown BIA at 905-873-4970. Tickets will be available for sale September 5th. See the Artist’s in our BIA Business and Farmers’ Market at Main and Mill. Artists, musicians, culinary experts, dancers and many more participate in the Farmers’ Market and events continue after the market closes at various downtown venues.
There’s always something fun going on in Georgetown and chances are the developers of The Residences of the Hotel McGibbon play some part in it!
